Pictures update!

Here's an update on pictures!! I hope everyone's having a great Friday...18 more days until Christmas! :) Here's some pictures at the Queen Anne park overlooking downtown Kyle took while we were supposed to be doing our family pictures:

The butterfly exhibit at the Pacific Science Center was pretty cool...here's a close-up of one with lots of eyes!

The three of us sitting in one chair and table that is two times the normal size!

Logan loves his Grandpa!!

Dinosaurs!!

They are hard to see, but there are a bunch of butterflies on the plants next to me

This may also look like a continuation of the science center, but it's at the grand opening of the new Cabela's store in Post Falls. I took Nick there a few weeks ago for a surprise date and we had a great time!

Christmas time!

I haven't posted for awhile and decided it's about time, but all of my new pictures are on our home comupter so they will have to come later! I'm in Ephrata for my last full week here. I start a new job in Spokane (finally!) that is wed, thurs, fri and I will keep working in ephrata for 2 more weeks on mon and tues. I will be very glad when I won't have to drive so far every week and I can sleep in my own bed every night and be with my hubby!

It's been snowing like crazy in Spokane but finally started to melt a little when I left for work Sunday night. Nick and I went to get some studded snow tires put on my car and the wait was 3 hours!! I guess I should have listened to my dad when he said to do it before it snowed. The snow is making me even more excited for Christmas. We got a few decorations and even have most of our shopping done. I am trying to keep the holidays stress-free so we can enjoy some time together and with our family...and remember what Christmas is really about! :)

Halloween, More Pumpkin Patch, and Birthdays!

Here's a few more pumpkin patch pictures, and some pictures of our Halloween costumes. Ni next year. Kevin and Natalie really outdid themselves with their amazing costumes. They were Jack Sparrow and Tiadelma or something (the black girl with dreds on the 2nd and 3rd movie) from Pirates of the Caribbean. They looked great! We went to a party a young couple in our ward were having which was a lot of fun. I'm glad we are meeting new people and making friends so it feels more like home here. The highlight of the party was when Kev and Nat both were participants in the "walk off" (think Zoolander) competition for the "best scary face" contest which ended up being a dance off instead. We dressed up for our ward Trck and I finally agreed to be a butterfly, and a butterfly catcher. Cute but not really a costume contest winner. We will have to start now so we can come up with something more creative forunk-or-Treat too, and Ryker made a cute Shrek while Kowen was Dronkey (half dragon, half donkey). Lots of fun!

For Ryker's birthday we went to Chuckie Cheese's and had a "Cars" birthday party. It was fun to watch the kids having fun on all of the toys and games (including NICK!). Bruce, Debbie and Amber came up to celebrate along with some of Ryker's other relatives. Nat just had her birthday too (happy birthday!) but I wasn't there for it so I don't have any pictures.

Camping at Neah Bay

I thought I'd post some of the great pictures we had from our camping trip to Neah Bay this summer. It was a blast and we did all sorts of fun things like fishing, kayaking, swimming, and kite flying. All around great time, aside from getting sea sick out on our little boat! We stayed at the best camping spot ever and would highly recommend it to everyone!

Pumpkin Patch

I haven't uploaded the pictures I took yet, so I will have to borrow Natalie's for now. We drove out to a little pumpkin patch that's half a mile away from the Idaho border. I had no idea how close we live to Idaho!! It was great fun and we got some super pumpkins for carving and some gourds and squash for decoration/eating. I'm getting excited for Halloween...it's always nice to have a holiday to look forward to. We all got invited to a Halloween party this weekend and costumes are required, so let me know if you have any great ideas for Nick and I. We are having a hard time deciding and could use some brain power!

Best Pics of the Week

I would have to say that the best pictures of this week by far were of Nick when he did a "stress relieving" face mask and used one of my headbands to keep his long hair out of the way. (I think I will get in trouble if he finds out I posted it on here!) There's also a picture of Ryker laughing at him because he looks so funny. He was actually scared of him at first.

This weekend was pretty low-key. Saturday Nick and I decided to go fishing at one of the lakes around here, but apparently they are all closed for the winter. Bummer. At least we got to drive around and see the beautiful fall trees. I tried to take a picture of them as we were driving along.

After lots of fun things like laundry and cleaning, we all worked together to make dinner. We had a spectacular seafood dinner complete with king crab, muscles and mahi mahi with homemade apple pie for dessert. Dishes weren't quite so fun afterwards but it was sure yummy! Sunday we had the missionaries over for dinner and made homemade pizza. We sure make a great cooking team! Nick's been studying for his big week of tests. Hopefully well being well rested and prepared will make it a great week for him!
