Let it snow!

This morning we woke up to a nice, light blanket of snow. Consequently we got to try out a new winter hat!

Tonight there is a severe storm warning...9-12 inches expected by Wed afternoon. Stay posted for pics! I'll have plenty of time because I'm not driving ANYWHERE in weather like that!

1st Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Sunday marked the first annual Class of 2013 Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. We ate, we contested, we Christmas music listened, we voted, we white elephanted, and then we ate some more. All in all it was a great time and left us excited for for next year's bash!

I couldn't decide which pics to include, so I just posted them all. Enjoy!

Rylann about ready to pounce...

Now for the classic eyes-closed family Christmas photos. Unfortunately some of the wee-ones didn't get the memo.

Start looking for your prize-winning sweaters for next year! :)

December

The past week Camille and I have been doing lots of things to get ready for Christmas! We decorated our apartment, did a little shopping, lots of craftiness, had our family Christmas, and an the first annual class of 2013 Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. (pictures to come).

Here's Camille ready for church

She got some hair pretties in her stocking (Santa came early at our house!)

Ready for a little shopping. She is getting better and starting to learn the ropes of shopping with mom!

She's always making some random gang signs in her photos!

Keep posted for pictures of our Christmas party!

Colorado

After nearly having a heart attack prior to taking Camille on her first airplane ride, we made it safe and sound to Colorado for Thanksgiving with Nick's sister and their cute family. Camille did great on the airplane despite all of my worrying. Although she didn't sleep as I had hoped, she didn't fuss one bit. I'm sure the guy wedged between us and the window appreciated that even more than I did.

Chad and the boys met us at the airport, and we made our way to their new home. The next day we took a shopping trip to sam's....

(no, unfortunately the vespa was not one of the purchases)

There was LOTS of baby holding. I don't think there was a moment that she was not being held, or waiting to be held by one, two, three or more people. The kids loved holding/playing with her.

Such good looking kids!

I'm not sure if Nick was helping cook, or just "helping" taste ;)

We had many fantastic meals, but an especially good one was our "linner" the day before Thanksgiving.
Yum!

We took a couple walks in the neighborhood. Colorado is beautiful and is a great place to live.

No one was more excited to eat dinner than Camille.

The kids thought it was great fun to have her "sit" right next to them like a big girl. Cute, but it makes me sad that she is growing up so fast!

Ready for the prayer. Look at that turkey!

Lots of lovin
On our way to the airport to go home (it went by too fast!) we stopped at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.
tons of crazy rock climbers
Unfortunately I blink all the time in pictures. That day was no exception.

Cooper, Claire and Macy found a cool hiding spot back in the rocks.

Nick and I decided to check it out

Then Nick had a great idea....

his plan worked!

He looks fairly pleased with himself

Contemplative.

Emily is so pretty and such a great mom!

Camille slept with Dad the whole flight back. What better way to spend holidays than with family. We are so grateful for the opportunity to!
