Prego Photos

I have been slacking with the weekly pregnancy photos. Unfortunately now is the time that probably shows the most difference week by week. I could make up some excuses, but I'll spare you. Here's a few old pictures I had on my camera. I had to make my best guess of when they were...

29 weeks?

31 weeks?

35 weeks?
Today at 37 1/2 weeks!

Things are going very well, despite a bit of swelling and a little higher blood pressure this past week. Nothing to worry about, but definitely keeping things in check. I have been having braxton-hicks contractions daily, but nothing painful (yet!). I am still hoping that it's any day now! I am definitely ready to be done.

This week baby center tells me that our baby is finally full-term! She weighs around 6 1/3 pounds, and measures about 19 inches (average babies anyways). They compare the length to a stalk of Swiss chard. I'm not sure if anyone outside of my family even knows what that is. Her lungs are fully developed and ready for life in the real world. Just a few more days of baking in the oven and this cupcake is ready to roll!

Sprecher's Brewery

We took the Sprecher's Brewery tour with some friends. The tour is a little boring, but at the end you get all you can drink soda (and beer!). I am officially in love with their cream soda. Root beer is awesome too, and they have some other really unique flavors. We had a great time, even without drinking alcohol! :)

Cheers!

Nick went straight for whatever they had on tap....

I like the guy's yellow shirt...

Dentists in training!

Brewers Game

We caught a Brewer's game a few weeks ago with some friends. They lost pretty bad, but it was still fun! Here's a few pics, the Ricks family, John, Sky and Nick. Go Brewers!

Jelly Belly Factory!

We went with my mom to the jelly belly factory. For the tour we got to ride a train around the warehouse and wear some awesome jelly belly hats. After the tour we got to sample as much as we wanted and checked out the sweet (yes, the pun was intended) gift shop. Delicious!

Pregnancy Insomnia

I am usually a GREAT sleeper. Pre-pregnancy that is. I used to be able to sleep anywhere, anytime, and never woke up during the night. It was great. The past week now, I have been waking up around 3 or 4am, and have not been able to get back to sleep! This morning it was 2am....should make for an interesting day. I usually lay in bed for about an hour and try to sleep, but it's impossible when I have a million thoughts running through my head. Mostly about things I should get done, or freaking out that I only have 3 more weeks until D-day! So a few of the "important" things I have been thinking about this morning:

  • I just realized that at 24 years old now, I am basically halfway to 50 years old. Now that's depressing! And that's how old I will be when my daughter is my age. Birthdays are no fun anymore!!
  • I am so sick of my maternity clothes, and I can't wait to wear all of my old clothes again! Hopefully they fit one day soon!
  • I also can't wait to sleep on my back again. This side-only stuff is killing me
  • I need to start sewing once we get moved again. That's a whole other story I haven't explained yet. Yes we are moving again around sept 15th, and yes, my due date is sept 18th. geeze louise
  • I can't decide on what to dress our baby up as for Halloween. I got a ladybug costume at a yard sale this summer, but I'm not sold on it anymore. It seems like there are only 4 main costumes for babies: 1) bumblebee 2) pumpkin 3) pea in a pod 4) ladybug. Do I let my baby be an individual, or follow the crowd for her first Halloween? Decisions, decisions.
  • Our baby is still nameless! Poor thing will be lucky if she has one before coming home from the hospital.
  • I miss our old apartment.
  • I miss seattle.

That's enough of my deep thoughts while suffering from pregnancy insomnia. Now that I've blogged, checked email, surfed and washed the dishes, I might try sleeping again. Wish me luck

THE DRIVE

We made it to Milwaukee after a LONG 3 day drive. Our first day we made it to Billings MT, second night in Fargo ND, and finally Brookfield WI. We saw plenty of beautiful country, some big cities (twin cities were cool to drive through), spent lots of time talking and eating! Here's mom and dad in Milwaukee the morning after we got there. Lots of sailboats on Lake Michigan!

Nick's car actually made the trip! Both of our cars worked great, thankfully! Now we hope they will make it for another 4 years through some extreme weather and roads!

A bunch of buffalo....I think in north dakota somewhere......maybe minnesota.....not sure

Some random sign Kyle took a picture of in north dakota

Thanks to mom, dad and kyle for all of the hours of driving, hotels, gas, food, and good times! we love you all!!

Utah Trip

We drove down to southern Utah to spend some time with both of my grandparents in July. We had a great time--so great that I forgot to take many pictures!

Here's a few with the Johnsons....excuse the lack of makeup...

Grandpa Wilson took us to Cedar Breaks up past Brian Head

We also went to Parowan Gap where we got to see some ancient petroglyphs left by some tribes. Pretty cool!

Unfortunately I didn't even get any pictures of Grandma Wilson, but we were so glad to spend time with her and can't wait to visit everyone again!
