This is why I'm hot

People say that I'm fly
They like the way I dress they like
my attire move crowds from side to side
They ask me how I do it and simply I reply...

I'm hot cause I'm fly
You ain't cause you're not
This is why
This is why I'm hot

Thank you snoop dogg!

Baby Mama

I never really thought Camille looked liked me, especially whenever Nick is holding her!  I like to think that she got my eyes at least, but even then she's pretty much her daddy's girl.  However, I just found an old pic of me that makes me think she might look a little like me.  I think I'm a little older than Cam in this pic (you would know better than me, Mom!) but I think it's good for a comparison.  What do you think??

Be Mine

We had a great Valentine's Day yesterday.  To catch up on other things first, here's a few pregnancy pics so far.  I started taking pics with Camille when I was 15 weeks along (you can compare here) and I thought it would be fun to compare the two.  I definitely feel like I've popped out a lot sooner than last time, but you can decide for yourself.

15 weeks

17 weeks (sorry missed 16, but I guess you really can't tell much difference!)

18 weeks

To appreciate the last bits of snow before they melt this week, we went on a little hike and checked out some frozen falls nearby our house.

Now for my favorite holiday, Valentine's Day.  This has always been my favorite holiday, and yesterday I was trying to decide why I loved it so much and here's what I came up with:

  1. It's all about love.  Not necessarily a significant other, just love of family and friends!
  2. It's nice to not have any "big expectations" without all the hype of things like Christmas gifts, fireworks, etc.  Pretty much anything you do to celebrate makes it special
  3. I love all the frilly, girly, pink and red decorations
  4. After the excitement of looking forward to Christmas and New Year's is over, you're stuck with a bunch of cold, dark days and lots of snow that doesn't get you "in the spirit" anymore.  Valentine's Day always gives me something to look forward to just when we need a special day to brighten things up!

We decided for part of our family Valentine's Day traditions we will have a fancy, dress-up candlelit dinner with our kids included so they can enjoy the fun! Here's Camille and Dad dancing together before our fancy dinner.

The aftermath of our delicious meal:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

After Cam went to bed we had the most amazing dessert...

We tried out these Cookies n Cream Oreo Fudge Brownies.  Yes, they are even more amazing than they look!!  So easy and soooooo tasty! :)  Try them out, they won't dissapoint!

The Great 2011 Blizzard

We made it through the giant blizzard that hit the northeastern US!  Here's some of the aftermath:

This giant snowdrift was blocking the entrance to the back door of our apartments

This is the front entry, after someone shoveled of course!  This made me grateful for many things, including the fact that we don't live in a house yet and didn't have to shovel a driveway or walk!

And to leave you with a thought.....GO PACKERS!!!  So glad we won! :)

During the after party ;)

*yes, Camille has a giant bruise on her forehead.  she tripped and smacked her head right on the door frame.  ouch!

In our neck of the woods

Here is what's been going on around here as we await the blizzard coming tonight:

Had a small but fun little baby shower for Lynn and her baby girl who finally arrived a little over a week ago

Cami loves to get her snow clothes out because it means she gets to get out of the house!  All I have to do is say, "Camille, go get your coat and snow pants" and she is on it!

I love her pensive look as she contemplates her new snow "mexi-stache".  This girl loves to sit and eat snow, hopefully it's fresh (so fresh and so clean clean!)

Yup, the pink face is from snarfing down snow

I let Camille help me make pizza dough.  She thought the flour was pretty tasty

Along with the dough...she's definitely her father's daughter.  yuck!

While stuck indoors Cam really enjoys playing with playdoh lately. Her dad taught her to put it on her fingers and she thinks it's pretty cool.

We love playdoh!!

Cam's many curls are pretty cute on a good hair day, but if I don't put in a little gel they get pretty frizzy and crazy looking.  Most days are frizzy, but here's a pic of when it's cute:

Switching from 1 to 2 naps during the day has worked great so far, but she's definitely ready to sleep by the end of lunch.  The other day she just about didn't make it:

I love that she still has a piece of food in her hands.  Someone get that girl to bed pronto!
