18 Months

At 18 months, Camille's stats are:
  • Height: 33 1/2, 50th percentile
  • Weight: 23 lbs, 25th percentile
Camille is generally a good girl, with the occasional tantrum or two (practicing for the upcoming terrible 2's of course!).  She still loves to read and snuggle, ride her trike, enjoys being outside, long walks on the beach....you get the picture!  Her favorite toys are her teddy bears who she loves to hug, kiss, snuggle and feed.  I guess it's time to get this girl a baby doll to practice being a little mommy for her new sister!

She is a great little talker when she wants to be and will try to say most words that you ask her to.  A few of her/our favorites to say:
  • purple
  • thank you
  • sister
  • elbow
  • bike (sounds like "butt")
  • toot-toot
  • waterslide
  • bum
  • eyebrow
Camille generally eats lots still, with a definite sweet tooth!  When not indulging in her weakness, she is happy to eat cheese and bean quesadillas,  frozen fruit, and veggie crunchers.  Likes to help with the dishes and laundry, and loves being in nursery!  So happy to have such a sweet girl in our family!

prego pics

Overdue for some prego photos, I have been bad at taking them this time!

Ok skipping from 18 to 20 weeks...(click here for last time)

and then from 20 to 23 weeks.  (click here for last time)

I thought I was getting bigger a lot faster, but looking back at pics I think things are about the same as last time.  I had a dr appt last week, and things are looking great and baby is healthy.  I have gained 9 lbs so far.  Not sure how much I gained at this point last time, I didn't think to write it down!  I need to get better with documenting and picture taking.  I know I would have loved to see how things went for my mom when she was pregnant with me!  I feel pretty good, not sick at all or overly tired.  I do enjoy taking naps sometimes (who doesn't?!) and try not to pack too many things into each day.  Feeling baby girl kick lots.  Starting to feel like my tummy is suddenly huge, but it can really depend on what I'm wearing.  The power of clothing choice can be amazing!  Just started wearing maternity clothes about half of the time.

Spring Break 2011

Nick took his national board exam the Saturday before spring break started.  It was nice to have it out of the way and no studying to do during break!  We did lots of fun things and enjoyed time as a family

Camille loooooves teddy bears and was thrilled when I pulled out this fleece teddy bear suit for her to wear on a walk.  Here she is with 2 of her teddies

We went to the public museum.  This woolly mammoth was found in Wisconsin!

Butterflies were a big hit with Camille, not so much with Dad! ;)

Look Mom, I'm riding a giant beetle!

Went on a family bike ride.  A few tears were shed when the helmet went on, but everyone was happy once we were on the road!

Because it was so much fun last year, we went again to Wisconsin Dells for a few days of fun at the water park.  Camille loved the water, and it was a bit of a challenge to get her to leave the water park each day.

She was brave and even went down a few water slides by herself.  If you look closely you can see her about to go down with Dad .

A common reaction from both Camille and Nick each time we went into the park.

It was a fabulous sunny day so we went to the zoo.  Stopped for a few snacks and played on the toys at the family farm.

Camille loves to wear my yellow shoes and they are always the ones she picks out for me to wear.  Maybe one day we will be able to share shoes!

Sunday afternoon after a great week!

Foodisms

Your eye itches and you have dirty hands?  Just go for it!

If it looks good in your bowl, it will look GREAT in your hair!

Clown makeup is totally in.

So ribs may be a little messy to eat.....definitely worth it!!

Do your ears hang low?

She came up with this one all on her own!  I couldn't stop laughing my head off when I came in to find her like this.  Don't worry we had the talk about "not putting things in our ears"!

I finally got around to making Camille a blankie!  I really wanted to try binding because I love how professional it makes it look!  When I found THIS tutorial online, it sounded simple enough for me to try.

It wasn't too complicated and I only thought of cursing twice (and that is probably because I was finishing it after midnight!)

Along with the binding I just added some diamonds across the blanket to keep everything in place and make it look a little more fancy.  I loved how it turned out!

Unfortunately Camille didn't.  I was so excited to give it to her since she looooves soft blankets.  I wrapped her up in it and she handed it back to me and said "no".  Oh well, good thing we are having another baby girl! :)
