Week 29

Baby girl is about 15 inches long and 2 1/2 pounds so far, but somehow I have gained 17 lbs.  She is moving around all the time, and loves getting kisses from her big sister. She is measuring right on schedule.

I am definitely feeling "large and in charge"!  I have given up picking up toys from the floor for the most part, so our apartment is looking swell. ;)  Some days I feel a little nausea and have been having some braxton hicks contractions, but that's about it.  Only 72 days to go!

I have continued to finish up many projects that have been partially finished for a long time, so that feels great! I plan on not having much time for sewing etc when I have 2 kids, at least for awhile!

On a side note, we're slowly easing into the idea of potty training!  To start with, we're getting Cam comfortable sitting on the potty.  Usually she isn't in the nude, but the time we decided to take pics she was! ;)

Pics of late

Time to play catch-up on blogging!

Back in March Camille got her first haircut!  More of a trim to even it out, but it helped to tame the scraggly-curly look a bit.  I was surprised how much thicker it made her hair look too.  She did a great job, thanks to a great beautician!  (Thanks Marianne!!)

2 of her loves....teddy bears and sitting in boxes!

Camille loves to snuggle her blankies.  In an effort to keep her from being too attached to a certain blankie or even blankies in general, she is only allowed to have them in her crib.  So some mornings she asks to be put in her crib to spend some time snuggling.  Sometimes she will be in there for 15-20 minutes.  Every so often I poke my head in and ask if she's ready to get out.  Sometimes she says no and just keeps snuggling for awhile.  If she says yes, I tell her to "say goodbye to blankie" and she'll kiss it goodbye and leave it in there.

First time getting into mom's makeup and I'm sure not the last!  Not too much damage, just applied some of my blush stick like it was chapstick.  B-E-A-utiful!

Swimming!

We explored Lake Geneva over Easter break.  It was gorgeous, and we had a great time!  We tried to take some family pictures, but it happened to be a particularly windy day and most of them looked like this:

We managed to get a few decent pictures

There's a trail all the way around Lake Geneva along the waterfront.  It was fun to walk through the backyard of some pretty amazing houses.  This one was particularly amazing, it was built in the early 1900's and is 18,000 square feet!  The owner died shortly after building it, and after being sold a few times it served as a girl's boarding school for awhile.  Most recently has been converted into 4 different condos, each one valued around $2.5 million!

Cam loves to try on clothes.  She has 3 swimsuit tops, pj's and a swim diaper on.  Quite the fashionita!

The night before Easter we dyed eggs.  Cam was up on a chair watching and tried to put her fingers in the hot dye water.  Nick grabbed her quick and said "no!" which scared her and after that she wanted nothing to do with it.  This is the best pic we could get, better luck next year ;)

Cam got 2 baby dolls for Easter, one from the easter bunny and one from Grandma and Grandpa Harker.  She is a good little mommy and adores to feed and love on her babies.
