Christmas Day

Traditional Christmas Eve family pic

Camille and Eleanor left a note and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.  They were pleased to see that they had nibbled on some of the treats we left and Santa had written a little note back to them.

A few weeks before Christmas, Nick asked Eleanor what she wanted for Christmas.  She said, "ummmm, probably a sheep that poops."    We had a good laugh at that; the random things this kid comes up with!  Nick texted what she said to his family, and Molly texted back, "actually I happen to have a little sheep that 'poops' out candy!"  It was meant to be.  Eleanor got her Christmas wish after all.

Bright eyed and bushy tailed

Since Winslow fell asleep, he got to model a few things like my exercise headband Nick got me.

And his football helmet/hat

We left somewhere for a bit while Nick and Kyle watched the kids. They took good care of them and provided all of their basic needs.

We had a combined dinner at Adam and Kim's home.

Nick trying on some night vision glasses.

Winslow snugged up for bed.

We cut the girl's hair.  Camille has had several hair trims, but this time her curls did not come back.  I never thought we would see the end of that girl's curly top!  I miss the curls but I don't miss the headache they were to comb out.

The packer's game wasn't very exciting I guess.......

Winter!

I just recently noticed Camille's eyes are slowly turning green.

As we agreed a long time ago and much to Nick's delight, we got to have a live tree this past Christmas.  They are too messy for my taste.  Next year we get to do a prelit tree. :)  The kids enjoyed helping decorate.  Luckily they didn't notice when I rearranged things later.

A little bottom-heavy on the ornaments. :)

Eleanor is a very sweet big sister to Winslow.  She helped read a book to him and even let him feel the "touch and feel" pages.

Many times have I come home from a Relief Society meeting to find something like this going on when Winslow is supposed to be in bed. :)

We had the tiniest bit of snow so of course we had to go play in it.

Winslow stayed toasty warm inside, his sisters saw to that and shared their blankets with him.

On Christmas Eve day we decided to hold a family potluck lunch and play Minute to Win It again with Nick's family.  My parents and little brother got to come visit for Christmas too.  It was great fun again, I can't wait to play again!
