February Fun

Here's a couple pictures I have saved up...I don't know why but I feel like I can only post if I have pictures! I guess it just makes it more interesting. On Valentine's Day I worked all day and Nick went to school so we just planned on celebrating that weekend. I was surprised by a lovely candlelit dinner that Nick made all by himself. Very sweet! Nick also got me some sewing supplies to go with our new sewing machine and I got him haircutting kit. Then we watched a movie together and called it a night!

My Grandma and Grandpa Johnson got us a sewing machine for our wedding gift. Nick and I used it together for family night to fix our mattress topper. Nick was great at figuring it out when I couldn't. Thanks for the wonderful gift grandma and grandpa!

Last weekend we went down to tri-cities for Jayden's baptism. He asked Nick to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. We had a great time with the family and took some fun pictures. Everyone's growing up so quickly!

The grandkids singing at Jayden's baptism...you can't see Ryker on the side but he didn't want to leave his mom!

Ice Skating!

The day after Christmas we went ice skating with Greg and Kyle. I couldn't believe it, but Nick has never been before!! He was nervous of course ;) but he did great. Don't worry he didn't spend the ENTIRE time against the wall! No he really was a natural and if the skates didn't hurt his feet so much he would have enjoyed it even more.

Christmas Morning

It's tradition Christmas morning that we can open our stockings as soon as we wake up, but we are not allowed to start on the presents until everyone is there. It was wonderful this year to have everyone home for Gregory's last Christmas before he leaves on his mission Feb 6th. We opened lots of fun gifts, watched Logan play with his new toys, and had a yummy breakfast.

Later that afternoon we had a fantastic Christmas dinner. Isn't family the best thing ever?!

Christmas Eve In Seattle

Here we are in our Christmas pj's we got to open Christmas eve.

The day before Christmas we relaxed and hung out with my family.

I helped my mom make pies and turtle cheesecake--YUM!! We always love baking/cooking together while the guys do who knows what! :)

Kyle and Greg looking great as always as they spend quality time together playing video games

Interplayers and Snowboarding

We enjoyed a fun evening together the week before Christmas. We went with Nick's mom and the Sanders kids to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner, and then met up with one of Nick's friends to go to a play at Interplayers. It was "A Reduced Christmas Carol" and it was a comedy based on the Charles Dickens story and was sort of like who's line is it anyway. Very funny and made for a great evening out.

We stayed the night at the lodge at Silver Mountain resort after my last day of work before the break. The lodge was a lot of fun and we would definitely recommend staying there! We spent the evening with Natalie and Kevin--we ate some dinner, and played at the arcade for awhile. The next morning we went snowboarding at silver mountain. It was Nick's first time ever and he did great! Unfortunately we didn't really get any pictures except of Nick walking around outside the lodge, and Nat and Kev driving on our way home. We are going again this weekend to take Gregory for his 19th birthday! :)

Pictures update!

Here's an update on pictures!! I hope everyone's having a great Friday...18 more days until Christmas! :) Here's some pictures at the Queen Anne park overlooking downtown Kyle took while we were supposed to be doing our family pictures:

The butterfly exhibit at the Pacific Science Center was pretty cool...here's a close-up of one with lots of eyes!

The three of us sitting in one chair and table that is two times the normal size!

Logan loves his Grandpa!!

Dinosaurs!!

They are hard to see, but there are a bunch of butterflies on the plants next to me

This may also look like a continuation of the science center, but it's at the grand opening of the new Cabela's store in Post Falls. I took Nick there a few weeks ago for a surprise date and we had a great time!

3 of my boys relaxing/sleeping after our thanksgiving dinner!

Christmas time!

I haven't posted for awhile and decided it's about time, but all of my new pictures are on our home comupter so they will have to come later! I'm in Ephrata for my last full week here. I start a new job in Spokane (finally!) that is wed, thurs, fri and I will keep working in ephrata for 2 more weeks on mon and tues. I will be very glad when I won't have to drive so far every week and I can sleep in my own bed every night and be with my hubby!

It's been snowing like crazy in Spokane but finally started to melt a little when I left for work Sunday night. Nick and I went to get some studded snow tires put on my car and the wait was 3 hours!! I guess I should have listened to my dad when he said to do it before it snowed. The snow is making me even more excited for Christmas. We got a few decorations and even have most of our shopping done. I am trying to keep the holidays stress-free so we can enjoy some time together and with our family...and remember what Christmas is really about! :)
