Birthday, Family Pictures and Christmas!

Grandpa Johnson's birthday is 2 days before Christmas. I am sure growing up he got plenty of birthday gifts with Christmas wrapping paper, not to mention a lot of presents combined. If I ever have a child on or near Christmas, I will make sure to have them very separate from each other!

We did family pictures indoors this year because it was so COLD outside! Camille spit up on her dress right before pictures, so she got to wear a burp cloth to prevent further incidents.

My mom and niece

My mom loves this picture. She thinks it looks really moody and deep, like Kyle and I just got done with a big fight. I'm pretty sure there was no fighting going on, but it is still cool looking. :)

As tradition goes for the past 2 years, we went to the botanical gardens in Bellevue on Christmas eve to see their "garden lights" display. They were awesome as usual! We sure had to bundle up though.

Christmas morning!

Hugs! She loves it!

Jenna worked and worked and finally got a hold some presents!

Nick is super excited to model one of Camille's swaddleme's.

Grandpa J got something in a victoria's secret bag........unfortunately for him it was a giant bag of roasted peanuts.

We talked, played, worked on bedrooms and remodeling bathrooms, ate LOTS, shopped, and had a fantastic time with everyone! Thanks so much everyone for the gifts, we miss you ALL!

New Year's in Tri-Cities

The day after Christmas we drove over to see Nick's family in tri-cities WA. The first day we did family pictures, and the rest of the time we played and played! :) Somehow I didn't end up with very many pictures. Too much playing I suppose.

Oh how I love Washington! This is on the way from Seattle...somewhere near Snoqualmie Pass.

Picture day take 2. I will have to get some of the official pics from someone!

Grandma Mavis, Ryker and Jayden

We got our teeth cleaned, and Camille had her first chair ride at the dentist! She loved it! :)

We tried a photo shoot with the littlest girlies and their matching sweaters. Eliza just woke up from a nap and was still sleepy eyed, and it was Camille's nap time and she was cranky, so this was the best we got!

Finally back home, Camille helped me with the mountains of laundry we left at home!

We had a fabulous vacation, miss our family, and can't wait to see everyone again!

A Tribute to Baby Photographers

This is a tribute to the daunting task of baby photographers. I try photographing Camille, which proves hard enough just trying to get the right angles, keep her happy, looking at the camera, etc. She has a darn cute little smile, but of course will never smile when I pull out the camera. These challenges multiply exponentially when you add one or more children. Here is a collection of photographs that I thought captured the essence quite nicely. Don't worry we did get a few pictures better than these! :)

We tried taking some cute pictures of these two chillins playing together. Should be easy enough--they don't have to look at the camera or smile. It all went well at first

And then inevitably someone will do something like this:

Good thing photographers get paid well! :0)

Little Ballerina

Camille is constantly working on her turn-out. She should be on pointe in a matter of weeks! Makes Grandma Wilson proud.

Projects!

The last few weeks before going to Washington were spent finishing up projects. Camille was kind enough to model the tutu she was giving to Camryn for the Harker cousin gift exchange. (like the food storage in the back ground? ;) )I got most everything done before I left on the 12th, and finished up the last of them before Christmas.

We are alive!

I took a vacay from blogging! We had a fantastic Christmas and New Year's, and loved spending time with family in Washington. We got there and back safely and are working on getting settled in, unpacked, and back on sleep schedules! Although we miss our family, it's always good to be back. Lots of pictures to come.
