Church history!

Before we headed down to southern UT we spent some time at Temple Square.  It was so fun to teach the kids about the history of our church and show them where conference is really at when we watch it on tv.

Joseph Smith Memorial Building

We were told this statue is about as tall as Goliath was.

It was bright :)

The gardens were gorgeous of course, they always are!

We got to listen to someone practicing the organ for awhile.

Conference Center!

After a day at Temple Square, we headed to Summit.  Along the way we stopped at Cove Fort, some cool history there!

Looking out the tower through the gun holes :)

SLC

It's been a reallllly long time since Nick or I have spent any time in Salt Lake City.  Now that G and C bought a cute little house there, it was high time we visited!  We went to a Bee's game.  The kids had a great time rolling around on the grass and we all enjoyed the game and a fireworks show afterwards.

We went up to the canyons (near Brighton I think?) to do some hiking.  I forgot how beautiful Utah is!!

Up closer to the ski resorts there was still a lot of snow.  It was fun hiking in short sleeves and shorts in the snow.

C looks good with a baby on her hip.  This would make a great Christmas card but people might wonder about the baby...

Love these two!

Actually a good family picture other than the licorice evidence all over E's face.

I think engagement poses just come naturally for them.

See what I mean?
