Teancum Timbers

I feel very un-creative in my blog titles lately.  Oh well. :)  Nick's parents were called to serve a service mission at the church camp Teancum Timbers for the next 18 months.  We have spent a lot of time there and loved it.  It's a little over an hour away and there are actually trees!  I feel like I can breathe again.  It's quite a bit cooler than tri cities too, so that's wonderful as well.  Here are a few pictures of our trips there this summer.

Easter in August!

Ok we really didn't have Easter in August but I'm finally posting some pics.  K came for his spring break to visit us and work a little.  My mom decided to fly out as well, so B&C and their family came over to spend Easter weekend together.  We really missed my dad and G&C!!  K was leaving on Sunday, so we had our Easter dinner on Saturday instead.  We dyed eggs....

Sunday we got the kids all dressed up and took pics after church.  Lasted for all of 15 seconds, luckily that was all we needed!

After leftovers for lunch, we decorated cookies and played some more.

Took the kids to the playground of dreams to let them burn off some energy.  I have never seen that place so busy, and we were the only caucasian people there!  The kids still had fun and were bummed when it was time to go.

We forced Eleanor to participate in the group hug goodbye.  She was less than thrilled.  We love having our Wilson cousins closer so we can get together more often!

Summit Part 2

The girls love to color these days, so it's no surprise they loved the little old school desks at Great Grandma Wilson's.  We had room to bring one home with us and it's constantly occupied with art projects.

Summit is a tiny town, maybe a mile stretch of road with houses on either side of it, and not much else.  There are no stores, only a little post office (PO boxes only).  A few times a day when we were there, a heard of a few hundred sheep would be herded down mainstreet.  The kids loved watching from the window as the dogs and people on 4-wheelers kept the sheep going in the right direction.  

Zion's National Park never changes, and never ceases to amaze.
