Birthday Party Pic Overload

Camille turned 5 in September!  We decided to throw our first friend birthday party for her, a Baking Party.  I did a lot of prep before hand, so the day of was busy but fun!  I think we had at least 15 little girls, haha.  A lot of friends had a big sister and little sister that we couldn't leave out and I kept thinking adding a few more kids wouldn't be a big deal.  The 2 hours of the party flew by but everyone had a great time.  It would not have been a success without my awesome helpers!

Lots of cake toppings ready to go!

Frosting...

Little aprons and mini cakes

Baker's hats

My cakes taste yummy but are definitely not beautiful.  So I asked Amber if she would make a birthday cake for Camille.  It was so amazing!  Not only was it beautiful, it was all from scratch--chocolate cake with cherry filling.  So good!

B and C came to visit for the weekend and I am so glad they did, C helped so much!

First thing they did was squish out some pizza dough and put on the toppings of their choice.

While the pizzas were baking, we had some party games courtesy of N and B.  First up was a pinata.  Those girls really got into it!

Mad dash for the candy

It was a hot day so they hung out under the tables for a bit

Then we had a balloon popping contest.  It would have been much better to do outside where there was more room, but the grass was popping the balloons left and right.

There were only a few tears shed in this game, and nobody got hurt!

After eating pizza, they got to decorate their own little mini cakes.

Cake time!

Opening gifts

I love the excited look on their faces!

Almost all of the little bakers, I think there was 2-3 more!

Cam got a bigger size bike for her birthday. She had been trying out her play makeup she got from a friend :)

End of Summer

Miss Molly's preschool was sadly no more, so we found 2 different in-home preschools that still had a spot left for each of the girls.  Eleanor's first day of preschool with Miss Amy

Camille's first day of preschool (2nd year) with Miss Tiffany

Lots of pool time this summer!  All 3 of my kids love the water, we are so glad!

County Fair

We had a good time taking the kids to the Benton-Franklin County Fair this summer.

We were going to skip the rides, but someone nice was leaving the fair and asked if we wanted their ride tickets that they weren't going to use.  We had just enough for Nick to take the girls on the ferris wheel. (Winslow was too little)  It was their first time on a fair ride and they were so excited, it was fun to see them.

We got to spend a day with my brother and his family.  C was so kind to watch the babies at home while we went downtown Seattle for a few hours.  So glad our kids have cousins their age!

Fish&chips and clam chowder at Ivars.

The kids were so patient while Nick stocked up on some grilling rubs and other spices at World Spice.

We had a great time walking around Pike Place Market.  Nothing beats a seattle summer!

Orcas Island Part 2

While we were on the island we went on a hike that had a few little waterfalls on the way.

See what I mean about the hand holding?  I can't get enough.  Sure glad these two are such good friends.

This was the biggest of the waterfalls.  Ask me sometime about the girl and steel drums at the waterfall.  Long story but definitely memorable!

We walked up to the base of the falls and you could even stand behind them.  It would make for some awesome pictures if I was a better photographer.

Where's Waldo.  Can you find Camille?

More blackberry picking!

The next morning we packed up at headed to the ferry.  The wait was  few hours so we went exploring again.

Such a fun trip!  And so beautiful....sigh.
