D-day

So my Dr agreed we could change my due date to July 9th instead of the 14th.  I know this really doesn't make any difference, and she'll still come when she wants to, but it makes me feel a little better knowing she *should* come sooner.  It's a long story, but I guess that was my due date originally.  She also said that 1st time babies usually come a few days late (Camille was 2 days late) and 2nd time babies come around a week early.  So based on my "new" due date, we could have a new baby as early as July 2.  I'm not counting on it, but it would be so fun to have a 4th of July birthday...fireworks every year to celebrate!  I'll have to not be too disappointed if she decides to come around the 14th instead.

I'm having a few contractions during the day, so that's encouraging.  This pregnancy went by WAY faster, and I'm sure it has something to do with chasing after a toddler the whole time.

Projects are coming along.  I just finished making some washable nursing pads.  I'm hoping they work awesome--I only used disposables last time.  I just used a bunch of my scrap material so if it's a bust it's no big deal.  I also turned a few of my old shirts into summer dresses for Camille, hopefully I can post about them soon.

Almost wet myself...

While we were staying at Grandma Harker's house, Camille decided it was a good idea to color with crayons on the floor.  Luckily it came out easily, but to teach Camille that it's not ok to color on the floor, Nick made her clean it up (with his help).  When he called me in to come look at her cleaning, I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants (could be a pregnant thing)!  She really got some muscle in it.

Since then we haven't had any more coloring on the floor, and I frequently find her cleaning the floor with the kitchen towel, and sometimes she even starts scrubbing the walls.  If she could keep up this trend when she's a teenager, my life would be much easier! :)

Home again, home again jiggity jig!

We enjoyed some time with Nick's family and as usual it was over all too fast.  Here's a few pics we got of our fun:

Playing at the airport before our flight out.  I was so happy that Camile did great both on the flight there and back!

Camille learned to get a little dirty and make mud pies.

Swimming in the hot tub with Grandma

Sadly I look much more excited than Camille for a dental check-up with Daddy.

I love this pic of Kowen getting his hurt toe worked on by mom and great grandma.

34 weeks and counting!

Missed a few weeks again, but honestly I'm sure the pictures don't show much of a difference.  I certainly have grown though, I don't think I can zip up any of my jackets anymore!  While I was home in WA I stole a few of my little brother's t-shirts to wear to bed because all of mine are now belly shirts!

Still feeling pretty good, more uncomfortable day by day but that's the way it goes from here on out!  Had an ultrasound last week to check on the growth-development, and I'm happy to report we're still expecting a girl!  Apparently this little one is going to be a chubber, either that or my due date is off because she's measuring 2 lbs bigger than Camille at this rate.  I'm hoping the date is just off, I feel and look pretty much the same as my last pregnancy but we'll have to wait and see.  I assumed because this was a girl that they would be about the same, but I have to remember every baby is different!

I'm excited to be done with pregnancy soon and finally see this little kicker!  Wish me luck with all the last-minute projects I still have left to do! :)

We are here, we are here!

I am happy to report that the lack of blog posts is because we are too busy having fun!  One of these days I'll play catch-up soon because I have a lot of fun pictures.  Just wanted to say that we are still alive and well!

Week 29

Baby girl is about 15 inches long and 2 1/2 pounds so far, but somehow I have gained 17 lbs.  She is moving around all the time, and loves getting kisses from her big sister. She is measuring right on schedule.

I am definitely feeling "large and in charge"!  I have given up picking up toys from the floor for the most part, so our apartment is looking swell. ;)  Some days I feel a little nausea and have been having some braxton hicks contractions, but that's about it.  Only 72 days to go!

I have continued to finish up many projects that have been partially finished for a long time, so that feels great! I plan on not having much time for sewing etc when I have 2 kids, at least for awhile!

On a side note, we're slowly easing into the idea of potty training!  To start with, we're getting Cam comfortable sitting on the potty.  Usually she isn't in the nude, but the time we decided to take pics she was! ;)

Pics of late

Time to play catch-up on blogging!

Back in March Camille got her first haircut!  More of a trim to even it out, but it helped to tame the scraggly-curly look a bit.  I was surprised how much thicker it made her hair look too.  She did a great job, thanks to a great beautician!  (Thanks Marianne!!)

2 of her loves....teddy bears and sitting in boxes!

Camille loves to snuggle her blankies.  In an effort to keep her from being too attached to a certain blankie or even blankies in general, she is only allowed to have them in her crib.  So some mornings she asks to be put in her crib to spend some time snuggling.  Sometimes she will be in there for 15-20 minutes.  Every so often I poke my head in and ask if she's ready to get out.  Sometimes she says no and just keeps snuggling for awhile.  If she says yes, I tell her to "say goodbye to blankie" and she'll kiss it goodbye and leave it in there.

First time getting into mom's makeup and I'm sure not the last!  Not too much damage, just applied some of my blush stick like it was chapstick.  B-E-A-utiful!

Swimming!

We explored Lake Geneva over Easter break.  It was gorgeous, and we had a great time!  We tried to take some family pictures, but it happened to be a particularly windy day and most of them looked like this:

We managed to get a few decent pictures

There's a trail all the way around Lake Geneva along the waterfront.  It was fun to walk through the backyard of some pretty amazing houses.  This one was particularly amazing, it was built in the early 1900's and is 18,000 square feet!  The owner died shortly after building it, and after being sold a few times it served as a girl's boarding school for awhile.  Most recently has been converted into 4 different condos, each one valued around $2.5 million!

View of downtown Lake Genenva

Cam loves to try on clothes.  She has 3 swimsuit tops, pj's and a swim diaper on.  Quite the fashionita!

The night before Easter we dyed eggs.  Cam was up on a chair watching and tried to put her fingers in the hot dye water.  Nick grabbed her quick and said "no!" which scared her and after that she wanted nothing to do with it.  This is the best pic we could get, better luck next year ;)

Cam got 2 baby dolls for Easter, one from the easter bunny and one from Grandma and Grandpa Harker.  She is a good little mommy and adores to feed and love on her babies.

3rd trimester!

Hooray for the last trimester!!  Glad to have less than 90 days left.  I'm 27 1/2 weeks now, so one of these days I will take a 27 week pic.  For now you get to enjoy week 25 and 26!

At my dr appt last week everything looked great and baby girl is measuring right on!  Got to take the glucose test...I always feel so gross after drinking that nasty stuff!  I'm starting to hate bending over and picking things up.  I have to do this much more than my last pregnancy, because this time I have a toddler (in addition to a husband haha) to pick up after.

week 25 this time, and last time

week 26

I have been finishing up lots of craft projects lately, maybe one day I'll take some pics and share what I've been up to.   For now, enjoy some of the munchkin.

Brushing in style--Pj's, her favorite shoes of mom's and a sleep blinder.  Don't worry, we still brush for her! :)
