Colorado

After nearly having a heart attack prior to taking Camille on her first airplane ride, we made it safe and sound to Colorado for Thanksgiving with Nick's sister and their cute family. Camille did great on the airplane despite all of my worrying. Although she didn't sleep as I had hoped, she didn't fuss one bit. I'm sure the guy wedged between us and the window appreciated that even more than I did.

Chad and the boys met us at the airport, and we made our way to their new home. The next day we took a shopping trip to sam's....

(no, unfortunately the vespa was not one of the purchases)

There was LOTS of baby holding. I don't think there was a moment that she was not being held, or waiting to be held by one, two, three or more people. The kids loved holding/playing with her.

Such good looking kids!

I'm not sure if Nick was helping cook, or just "helping" taste ;)

We had many fantastic meals, but an especially good one was our "linner" the day before Thanksgiving.
Yum!

We took a couple walks in the neighborhood. Colorado is beautiful and is a great place to live.

No one was more excited to eat dinner than Camille.

The kids thought it was great fun to have her "sit" right next to them like a big girl. Cute, but it makes me sad that she is growing up so fast!

Ready for the prayer. Look at that turkey!

Lots of lovin
On our way to the airport to go home (it went by too fast!) we stopped at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.
tons of crazy rock climbers
Unfortunately I blink all the time in pictures. That day was no exception.

Cooper, Claire and Macy found a cool hiding spot back in the rocks.

Nick and I decided to check it out

Then Nick had a great idea....

his plan worked!

He looks fairly pleased with himself

Contemplative.

Emily is so pretty and such a great mom!

Camille slept with Dad the whole flight back. What better way to spend holidays than with family. We are so grateful for the opportunity to!

Fashion Show

Those of you who know me know that I have always loved clothes. It's no surprise that I love Camille's clothes just as much. It's hard to stick with a student's budget when there are so many cute girly clothes around. Like I've said before, thank goodness for hand-me-downs from cousins and the occasional rummage. :) Camille is usually a good sport to sit through all of the fashion shows I put her through. (fashion show, fashion show, fashion show at lunch!)

Camille finally fits some of the cute dresses I have. Lately when she wears them, I always find her grabbing her dress....

which leads to immodesty! Looks like we will have to have that talk earlier than I was expecting.

Looks like I'll stay entertained during the Wisconsin winter!

New Moon

Some friends went to see the midnight showing of New Moon. I would have loved to go, but it seems that the second I walk out the door, even just to run out to the car, Camille knows it. And there is crying, screaming, and gnashing of gums. It's too bad movie theaters are too loud for sleeping babies. Camille actually wanted to go. Here is what she had to say when I told her she couldn't go see New Moon:

Is it bad that I think pictures of my daughter crying are funny?
