Love this guy.

I don't tell Nick as often as I should, but I know he is an amazing man and I really do love him.  I may get sappy, so don't say you haven't been forewarned if you keep reading....

I love Nick.  He is a wonderful husband.  So thoughtful, kind, works hard to keep our marriage a happy one.  So grateful I get to be with him for eternity.  I'm always finding new reasons why I appreciate him, and he's always giving me opportunities to see what a great guy he is.

He has a tender heart.  I give him a hard time about being the "softy parent" that will give in to our pleading toddler, but that aside he really is kind hearted.  He is the first one to shed a tear in a sad movie and really doesn't want anything bad to happen to anyone.

Nick is smart. He does so well at school and makes it all look like a cinch.  I'm certainly glad he will is the one that will provide for our family, he will succeed at anything he puts his mind to.

He always comes through for me.  Along with anyone else that ever needs help, Nick is your man.  Taking care of other people's kids, helping with computer problems, moving people in or out...there's not anything he wouldn't do to help someone in need.

He makes me laugh. When I first met him I was knee deep in dental hygiene school, and in the middle of a bit of a broken heart from an ended relationship.  Living away from my family and friends, I know I was down and needed someone to lift me up.  His bright smile and quick jokes came just at the right time and brought a light to my life that continues to shine through.

Children (especially ours!) love him.  Pretty sure I've never met a kid that doesn't just love this guy.  More than once I have heard little kids say "Hi Nick!" in sacrament meeting a bit loud. :)  Camille runs to him when he gets home from school and loves to snuggle with her daddy.  Eleanor's face just lights up when he smiles at her and they like to have a contest to see who can smile bigger.

Nick won't claim to be artsy by any means, but every so often he surprises me.  When he brings me breakfast in bed (yes, this happens several times a year!) he always adds a beautiful touch such as cutting a strawberry and fanning it out for garnish.  I'll thank his mother for that one, I still serve our dinners on the table out of the pots I cooked them in!

Another example of his artsy-ness....a beautiful picture he took:

He really is wonderful, and if you don't have the privilege of knowing him yourself, you are missing out.  So glad he picked me to spend eternity with.
