Belly pic at 27 weeks in August. I was feeling really good at this point, just pretty tired at the end of the day.
September brought more great weather and fun changes. C started kindergarten and boy was she excited!! She has been looking forward to this day for a long time. She loved her teacher and had a great first day. No tears when I dropped her off....except for me! Can't believe my first babe is in school now. Kindergarten is full-day which has been wonderful for everyone.
We celebrated this little miss' 6th birthday. I am no queen of cake decorating (or making for that matter) so it's not the prettiest. It is a heart and pink though, so that's what mattered. Her birthday was on a Sunday so she brought cookies to share with her Sunday school class. She requested chili and cornbread for her birthday dinner.
We went to Hatch Patch while in tri cities, our favorite place to pick produce and especially pumpkins! I didn't do a lot of canning this summer, just some tomatoes and salsa. Next year we plan on growing a larger garden and bottling a lot more food. It's a lot of work but they sure look beautiful lined up on a shelf and so much more yummy than a store bought can. It gives me satisfaction to know that my hard work goes directly to sustain our family and follow the prophet's counsel to store food. I am always so grateful for the bounty of our earth and for delicious fresh fruits and vegetables each summer.
Love these little rascals of mine!
