Counting down

I always use the excuse that my blog is like my journal to make myself feel better about not keeping a real journal.  If that's my excuse I need to be a lot better about documenting my family's life.  So many moments go by and with my memory I only remember a select few.

The days go by very quickly now and we are counting down the last 7 months to graduation from dental school.  I get more and more sad every time I think of leaving the place we have called home for the majority of our marriage, and entire life of our children.  I always want to live every day to its fullest; never wishing it away for those "one days".  One day we will have an income.  One day we will live in a house.  One day I will have a dishwasher. ;-)  I truly love our time as a student family and although I look forward to the new experiences after school, our time here will be sorely missed.

Our kids have been growing like weeds.  So much has been going on that I need to catch up on.  Cam and Elle love to play together (most of the time!) and can make each other laugh like no one else.  Nick has some board exams coming up, I think we are all anxious to have those out of the way!

I will catch up more soon.  As today was general conference I had lots of time to reflect on my testimony and the love I have for my family.  They are my everything.  Here's a few more summer fun pics!

First cleaning, of course it was with dentist dad :)

LOTS of pool time!

Practicing dives...

Camille was fearless in the pool.  With her floaties on she would jump off the diving board, swim the side, up the ladder and do it over and over.  Eleanor loved the water too.  Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth any time we tried to take her out.

I was just telling a friend the other day--I feel like the paparazzi, always snapping away at family events.  No matter how many pictures I take though, I always get home and feel like I hardly have any.  I need to find a good balance between enjoying the moment and also having pictures to remember it by.

Camille rock climbing!

Nick's second time up to the top

Grandpa's first time climbing

Even Grandma made it to the top! :)

Ok Grandma might kill me for posting these but we had a blast doing face masks together!

Trip to see the Ballard Locks

Freemont Bridge Troll.  I love 10 Things I Hate About You :)

Many, many hours were spent by the girl cousins dressing up.  Eleanor sure loves being a girl, sweat (drool!) stains and all! :)

The boys even got in on the fun on occasion!
